These terms are the rules for using InARow, a website for playing 4-In-A-Row online, run by Luca Carraretto in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or playing on InARow, you agree to them. Questions? Email help@inarow.life.

A test version

InARow is currently an invite-only test version (a “closed alpha”). Things may change, break or be reset while we test (ratings, for example), and we can’t promise the site will always be available.

Your account

• You must be at least 12 years old. If you’re under 13, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, and should keep an eye on how you use InARow.
• One account per person.
• Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
• Your invite code is for you only.

Play fair

• Play your online games yourself: no help from other people, computer programs, solvers or “bots” during a game. (4-In-A-Row has been solved by computers, so this matters.)
• Don’t manipulate ratings, for example by losing on purpose or by playing against a second account of your own.
• Don’t misuse disconnecting or the clock to annoy your opponent.

Be respectful

• No offensive, hateful or sexual content in usernames, names, profile pictures or chat.
• No harassment, threats, spam, links or advertising.
• Don’t pretend to be someone else.

Content from other players

Usernames, names, profile pictures and chat messages are created by players, not by us. To keep InARow suitable for everyone, we filter them: offensive words aren’t allowed in usernames, names or chat, links aren’t allowed, profile pictures are checked automatically for inappropriate images before they’re saved, and chat is off in a game unless both players agree to turn it on. Our moderators also act on reports.

No filter is perfect, and we can’t check everything before other players see it. We aren’t responsible for what other players post, but we’ll deal with anything inappropriate as soon as we know about it. If you see something that shouldn’t be there, please report it (from the player’s profile or from the game), or email admin@inarow.life.

Moderation

If you break these terms, we may change your username, remove your picture, ban you for a while or for good, or delete your account. To do this we may look at games, chat and reports. You can report a player from their profile or from a game.

What you post

You’re responsible for the usernames, names, pictures and chat messages you post. They stay yours, but you let us show them on InARow. Games and chat are recorded, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

No guarantees

InARow is free and provided “as is”, without guarantees. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses caused by using it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can’t be limited.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts, or the site itself.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell you on the site about any important changes. If you keep using InARow afterwards, the new terms apply.
